This week, we talked briefly about using "chunking" when you read. To do this, you need to read groups of words together instead of reading each word individually. It takes a lot of practice, but learning how to use chunking effectively will help you read much faster!
Watch the video for some examples and practice for chunking, and keep working hard! -Jenny

Hi again! I found another great website to help you practice your reading skills. The focus today is on comprehension, and the articles are quite a bit longer than the articles we worked on last week.
This website allows me to assign specific readings to each student, which is great because everyone reads at a slightly different level. If there are certain topics you do (or don't) want to read about, let me know! I will try to assign readings that I think will be interesting to you. Ready to check it out? Click here: www.ReadWorks.org/student For the Class Code, enter 26CBJJ For the password, ask me! This website is free and available on any device with an internet connection. You can log in and read articles anytime. Keep working hard! -Jenny |
