Most people go to ESL classes because they want to have more opportunities in the USA. Usually, my students tell me they want a better job. We can use the Occupational Outlook Handbook to learn about different jobs in the USA.
Ready to try it? Here is what you need to do: 1. Decide on your "career of interest." This could be the job you have now, a job you had before, or a job you want in the future. 2. Go to https://www.bls.gov/ooh/. 3. In the "Search" box, type your career of interest. 4. Click the first link that comes up to see all the information! Make sure to answer the questions on your Career of Interest handout so you can share with your classmates. -Teacher Jenny
