Hi folks! In today's class, we talked about subject-verb agreement. This is an aspect of English grammar that's really important in writing. When we speak, the rules about this are a bit more relaxed. That's why you sometimes hear people say things like, "He don't know," even though it's wrong. But when you write, people expect you to use verbs that agree with the subject. Hiring managers and professors will notice mistakes! Here is a link for more practice with subject-verb agreement. I like it because after you answer each question, an explanation appears at the top of the page. There are 25 questions, so you'll get a lot of practice! http://www.chompchomp.com/hotpotatoes/sva04.htm Leave a comment if you have any questions, and keep working hard! -Teacher Jenny BONUS CONTENT: Want more practice identifying prepositional phrases?
